The Service

Wordswell surfaces a curated daily quote, keyed to your local date, and lets you browse a library of quotes by author and category. The mobile apps offer the same content with optional accounts and push notifications so the daily quote can reach you directly.

Accounts

Some mobile app features require an account. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know at hello@wordswell.co if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content from the Service outside of normal, individual browsing
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Service’s operation or security
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, impersonate, or abuse others
• Circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical protections

Content & Intellectual Property

Quotes are attributed to their original speakers or authors where known; attribution in quotation databases is sometimes imperfect, and we don’t guarantee that every quote or attribution is accurate. The Wordswell name, logo, site design, and underlying software are owned by Wordswell and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Push Notifications

If you enable notifications in a Wordswell app, we’ll send you the daily quote (and occasionally other service-related alerts). You can disable notifications at any time in your device’s settings.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don’t guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wordswell won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Third-Party Links & Services

The Service may link to or rely on third-party sites and services (for example, sign-in providers). We aren’t responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.

Changes

We may update the Service or these terms over time — for example, as we add features to the mobile apps. We’ll update the effective date above when we make material changes. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these terms.
